      FACILITY MAINTENANCE LEAD TECHNICIAN

      The company desires an individual with a high level of knowledge related to Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Life Safety, and miscellaneous building systems. Good customer service, and exceptional technical skills that include troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairs; along with executing preventive maintenance (PM) activities. There is some limited oversight of subcontractors as required. Supervision of technical and non-technical technicians is a key requirement of this position. The preferred candidate will be a hands-on Supervisor, self-starter, dependable, ability to quickly learn client sites, buildings, and systems. Fluency in English and Spanish is a requirement. A company vehicle will be provided.

      Position Summary: Jorgensen has an immediate opening for an experienced Facility Maintenance Lead Technician in support of corporate-owned/leased properties in Austin, TX. We desire an individual with a high degree of focus on customer service and with technical skill sets and aptitude for facilities maintenance including electrical, mechanical, and general building troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repair; along with executing preventive maintenance (PM) activities and including oversight of subcontracted services as required. Must be customer service oriented, be a self-starter, have professional manner, be able to make informed decisions, and have a willingness to learn.


      Requirements:
      Proven ability to lead and supervise local and mobile staff experience is a must
      Requires 3-5 yrs related experience
      Valid driver's license and good driving record
      Customer interface (communications, problem solving, work prioritization & scheduling)
      HVAC / CRAC Units – EPA Certified (PM, system monitoring, knowledge and familiarization)
      Troubleshooting skills (diagnosing problems. Electrical skills (changing and installing lights, electrical outlets, lights, minor electrical, and troubleshooting)
      Familiarity with UPS / Emergency Generator and Fire / Life / Safety Systems
      Plumbing, (minor restroom repair of toilets, sinks, and fixtures)
      Building , (doors & hardware, furniture & hardware, bulletin boards, etc.)
      Computer skills, (email, scheduling, maintenance management, work order & PM’s)
      Reliability and flexibility
      Ability to speak and understand English well

      Qualifications
      High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
      Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. Criminal record and controlled substance/drug testing)
      Practical work experience
      Exhibit strong customer service skills and a strong work ethic
      Self-starter with a professional manner
      Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
      Neat, clean and presentable appearance
      Ability to adjust to changing work schedule


      Schedule:
      Full time; Day shift, Monday through Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Weekends and overtime as needed. Must be ale to work during snow & ice events. Must be able to respond to on-call emergencies.

      Based on experience
