      Position Summary/Job Duties:

Local homeschool group looking for a part-time science teacher for Fall 2026 to teach upper level - middle to high school - in-person courses to a small group of students. Classes range in size from a few students to a maximum of 12. Supplies, chemicals, and materials are provided for teaching. Courses do not require grading of students, merely a focus on teaching and students learning. Curriculum is not pre-determined, which means you have the freedom to build a course you’d like to teach! Plenty of autonomy over your class, what’s taught, and how it’s taught.

For Fall 2026, the course has not been pre-determined and is flexible. Depending on level of experience and interest, it’s likely you’d teach one class for 2-3 hours on one day in the fall. Courses would meet on one of the following days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.

Courses would include, but are not limited to:

      - Middle school Science (6-8th grade)

      - Biology

      - Chemistry

      - Physics

      - Zoology and/or

      - AP versions of these courses

      Qualifications:

      - Prior teaching experience in science (no WI state certification/license required)

      - Specifically also looking for someone who teaches in a more activity/lab based format than straight lecture for 2-3 hrs

      - Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Education

      - Interest in multiple year commitment (preferred but not required as I’m hoping to keep the same teacher consistently from year to year and build up the program)

      Compensation:

~$1,000-$1,500/class per semester (based on experience & student enrollment)

*Interested individuals are welcome to meet me, the current math/science teacher, and observe my classes this spring.*
