Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an

FCAS2023 Lead System Architect (d/f/m) – Cloud Connectivity

The System & Architecture department is looking for an experienced system architect. You will lead the system activities for connectivity projects and bids for FCAS and Combat cloud connectivity studies. This role will involve some travel for business.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Key position in FCAS and combat cloud connectivity study

• Interface with customers to gather the needs and to define solutions

• Interface with external stakeholders to define the technical work-sharing and ensure technical consistency throughout regular communication and workshops

• Main technical interface with all Airbus program lines and Airbus strategies to influence airbus proposal and positioning

• Steer of demonstration connectivity activities done by internal technical organization

• Harmonization between French, German, Spanish & UK internal portfolio

• Regular communication and report to executive Airbus leadership

Desired skills and qualifications

• You are educated to a degree level in Telecommunications, space telecommunications or equivalent

• You have a background in aeronautical communications and system integrations

• You have several years of experience in complex system organization

• Experience in complex telecommunication systems definition and Model Based System Engineering

• You have experience in agility, requirements management, design definition and system engineering

• You are a good communicator and are able to synthesize information and take decisions in complex situations

• You speak English and German to negotiation level
