Job Description

- Management and coordination of purchases of chips, fiber fuel, and roundwood, at the lowest sustainable cost, while utilizing an enterprise & team approach with the other basin Fiber Specialists
- Ensure optimized wood sourcing plans are updated, maintained and executed.
- Develop & maintain productive business relationships with mill partners, key suppliers and external customers.
- Develop and maintain intimate knowledge of the current state of fiber supply business in the operating area, including competitor activity.
- Manage Valliant Chips, run by Price the on-site 3rd party chipper, ensuring alignment between Fiber Supply and Price on weekly run rates and expectations.
- Support and help ensure compliance with all EMS and Foresite requirements within the basin.
- Develop and participate in weekly and monthly business & financial reporting.
- Safety leadership, supply chain and logistics planning, sourcing and cost management, wood cost forecasting, business reporting, and Deliberate Improvement development.
- Coordinate with peers at other IP mills toward the goal of enterprise cost minimization along with participating in various region and division teams.
- Take leadership roles in various Deliberate Improvement teams such as the West Region Strategic Sourcing team
- Have leadership skills and business acumen to lead the Valliant Team during times of the Fiber Supply Manager’s absence.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Forest Management or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management or related fields
- Well-grounded in business management with a working knowledge of supply chain management
- Working knowledge of the use and application of forecasting & optimization models.

Pay Rate:
$83,900 - $111,800
Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s short –term incentive plan.
