What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Create comprehensive estimates of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims
- Negotiate settlements, process payments, and document activities for complex files
- Interpret regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to fair claims practices
- Build strong relationships with both internal and external customers
- Mentor peers by sharing expertise and assisting in training on company processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Proven experience in auto damage estimating
- Proficiency with CCC ONE estimating software
- Ability to manage both field and virtual auto claims
- Strong understanding of various policy types written by the company
- Authorization to work in the United States
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Residence in or near the Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, Staunton, or Waynesboro area
- Previous experience in a peer mentoring role or training others in insurance processes
- Strong negotiation skills and experience handling complex claims
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the insurance industry
