What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage proactive earned storytelling efforts for Amazon in the Northeast US region
- Develop and write press materials, including news releases, media advisories, and social media content
- Build and maintain relationships with traditional and non-traditional media members
- Support internal stakeholders with time-sensitive communications challenges
- Represent Amazon as a spokesperson in various media formats, including print and broadcast
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Demonstrated ability to write compelling stories and press materials
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel regularly within the Northeast region
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with media relations and earned media campaigns
- Strong relationship-building abilities with media and stakeholders
- On-camera spokesperson experience or media training
- Familiarity with PR measurement and analytics tools
- Existing relationships with Northeast US media outlets
