What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct investigations to ensure employer compliance with workers' compensation coverage requirements
- Gather and analyze information to interpret workers' compensation laws, rules, and policies
- Issue proposed orders and impose sanctions on noncompliant employers
- Provide technical assistance to regulated employers to enhance awareness of workers' compensation coverage
- Manage investigations independently and efficiently
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Four years of experience in administrative research involving compiling and evaluating facts for management action, with at least two years above the technical support level
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to diffuse hostile situations
- Proficiency in writing reports, proposed orders, and subpoenas
- Knowledge of principles and theories related to comprehensive investigations
- Familiarity with workers' compensation laws and previous experience utilizing Oregon Revised Statutes

- Experience conducting comprehensive investigations in a regulatory environment
- Previous experience in workers' compensation compliance or enforcement
- Strong knowledge of relevant case law related to workers' compensation
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
