What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform property risk control and underwriting surveys for various clients across different industries
- Advise clients on hazard control measures to reduce or prevent losses and influence the implementation of recommendations
- Provide technical support and guidance on fire protection and loss prevention to global manufacturing plants and offices
- Review architectural and engineering plans for fire protection systems and provide detailed feedback
- Investigate fire losses and prepare written reports or presentations detailing findings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Highly Protected Risk engineering or consulting
- Experience in a consulting role with an HPR Property Insurance Company
- Proficient in understanding and applying NFPA and/or FM Global standards
- Must be physically fit and able to access various building areas during surveys
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with Assembly of Construction, Occupancy, Protection, and Exposure (COPE) Data
- Past experience assessing high hazard occupancies such as flammable liquids and combustible dusts
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Self-sufficient and organized
