      We’re currently looking for a Field Quality Investion Engineer II to join the Field Quality Team in Smyrna, TN.

      Job Function

      The following job function statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified. The job function statements reflect expectations of the fully trained, proficient incumbent who meets all performance criteria

      • Monitors various sources of field quality data and takes appropriate action in order to achieve quality targets for the assigned model(s).

      • Establishes priority and action plans for incident investigation and reporting. Prepares field information and parts demand forecasts.

      • Conducts investigative research at Nissan’s Field Quality Center (FQC) and sometimes traveling to Nissan dealer or other customer locations. Identifies, investigates, and reports quality issues and field technical incidents.

      • Leads weekly Direct Communication (DC) meetings with plant and design staff to review current warranty claims/quality issues to be investigated and reported through the DRIVE system.

      • Collects and analyzes warranty return parts and issues technical reports and parts to the assigned function.

      • Prepares Technical Service Bulletins and provides technical assistance to other departments. Analyzes and identifies engineering issues regarding warranty and durability incidents, and seeks engineering countermeasures.

      • Communicates product issues to management for countermeasure development. Distributes report results to appropriate design groups and tracks corrective action activities.

      • Contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.

      Minimum Qualifications
      The following qualification statements reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant.
      Job Knowledge and Skill:

      • Firm understanding of automotive technology and engineering practices, with a hands –on background in the automotive industry.

      Experience:

      • 1-3+ years of directly related professional-level Engineering experience.

      Education:

      • Bachelor’s degree in a related Engineering discipline.

      Computer Skills:

      • Thorough computer knowledge such as word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to resolve complex problems in day to day situations.
