It’s an exciting time to join the Change team here at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers, streamline and automate our business processes.

As the Finance Project Manager, you’ll manage the delivery of projects and finance initiatives assigned to the AXA UK finance transformation team. Working across all finance teams and business units you'll ensure the successful delivery of strategic projects, mandatory reporting changes and finance transformation projects.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, at our Ipswich office.

      What you’ll be doing:

      • Plan, execute, and monitor the delivery of projects within the timelines agreed and in collaboration with all finance business teams and external partners.
      • Effectively engage and manage relationships with key stakeholders and sponsors, to ensure full understanding of the project goals.
      • Compile and submit project status reports to change boards, steering committees, and other key stakeholders. Identify, assess, and manage risks to the success of the project, with timely escalation as appropriate, providing proposals and solutions to address.
      • Provide effective leadership to the project team, motivating team members to achieve their project objectives and develop their skills and experience.
      • Deliver clear, effective written and verbal communications on all aspects within the remit of the role.
      • Manage third parties and suppliers to meet all project goals within agreed costs, time, and quality criteria.
      • Represent the finance team on AXA UK & AXA Group working parties, Steering Committees and project meetings as required as part of the UK’s support for major change projects.

Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we’re able to effectively manage interest. Therefore, if you’re interested in joining us at AXA, please don’t hesitate to apply.

      What we’re looking for:

      • Good understanding of regulatory and statutory requirements for insurance companies and how these fit into the bigger business picture.
      • Proven project management experience, including successful delivery of projects with a finance impact.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including influencing, negotiating, and the ability to create effective networks.
      • Established ability to lead and motivate people in own team and in a matrix organisation.
      • Experience of managing relationships with 3rd parties.
      • Solid understanding of project management principles.
      • Finance qualification or previous experience of working within a finance function desired.
