      Advanced Management Strategies Group (AMSG) is seeking a Financial Administrative Specialist to support the Department of Energy (DOE) Naval Reactors Laboratory Field Office (NRLFO). The NRLFO supports the nuclear Navy with clean, safe, reliable nuclear power for its submarines and aircraft carriers.

      Period of Performance: September 2025 - August 2027

      Scope: TheNRLFO Finance Division is responsible for the management and implementation of all financial programs that support the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory (KAPL) in Niskayuna, NY; Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory (BAPL) in West Mifflin, PA; Bechtel facilities in Monroeville, PA, and Schenectady, NY; Babcock and Wilcox (BWXT) facilities in Lynchburg, VA, Nuclear Fuel Services in Erwin, TN, NR Headquarters (HQ) at the Washington Navy Yard, as well as numerous training and operational facilities around the world.

      The NRLFO team will be responsible for the coordination, development, implementation, and programmatic oversight of DOE and NRLFO financial program policy. In addition, the Finance Division serves as the primary point of contact for federal, state, and private agencies on matters concerning these financial programs under DOE/NRLFO cognizance.

      Required:
      • Minimum Experience: 5 years of professional, relevant work experience.
      • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree
      • Expert knowledge of existing NRLFO Finance accounting and financial reporting operations
      • Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
      • Expert knowledge in DOE business systems (STARS, STRIPES, FAST)
      • Expert-level contractor support to execute NRLFO Finance-specific accounting and financial reporting operations as determined by the Contracting Officer (CO) in cooperation with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

      Responsibilities:
      • Execute staff training (one-on-one or group) on NRLFO Finance specific accounting and financial reporting operations, practices, procedures by assigned due date(s).
      • Document NRLFO Finance accounting and financial reporting processes in Standard Operating Procedures and review/update existing procedures as necessary, by assigned due date(s).
      • Provide expertise and perform all necessary services to review for completeness and process other documents, such as routine correspondence, or other contract administrative functions within NRLFO.
      • Provide timely expertise and perform all necessary services to prepare draft and final correspondence, including forms, letters, and memoranda, related to assigned financial administrative specialist activities
