Job Description
- Req#: R137304
- Produce various reports and perform ad-hoc analyses using current and historical information of financial and operational results supporting senior management’s decision-making.
- In collaboration with the Investor Relations team and MD&A and planning team, assist in the quarterly earnings process (key messages, Q&A, Internal Stats Supplement, etc.).
- Support team members in the execution of special projects and in their day-to-day responsibilities.
- Understand key data sources, dynamically upkeep, and increase control effectiveness of reports to ensure accuracy and provide historical view of various financial/operational Key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management use.
- Preparation and management of various work planning activities, coordinating availability of various stakeholders for quarter-end duties (in charge of the team quarter-end calls/deliverables planning/tracking).
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or any other analytical training or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- 1 to 3 years of finance or accounting experience.
- Working towards a CPA, CFA related designation. Having a CPA, CFA designation, an asset.
- Insurance industry experience, an asset.
- Ability to interact and communicate clearly with a variety of people at all levels of the organization, including management and external contributors.
- Bilingualism spoken & written (French / English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
- Willingness to learn, agile and proven ability to thrive in a fast paced/changing environment.
- Strong planning/organization skills and attention/focus on details.
