What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial forecasts and recurring financial reports for leadership and regional teams
- Conduct monthly and quarterly financial reconciliation to ensure accuracy across funds, transactions, and payroll adjustments
- Review, submit, and approve financial transactions while ensuring compliance with agency coding policies
- Manage shared expense allocations, support year-end financial processes, and maintain accurate financial coding
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support agency needs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- An inquisitive nature with a desire to understand financial processes and drive improvements
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues proactively and develop effective solutions
- Expertise in financial systems and spreadsheet applications, particularly Excel and Google Sheets
- Strong analytical capabilities combined with exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to communicate professionally in both written and verbal forms
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Two or more years of professional financial analysis experience
- Demonstrated experience in state or local government financial management
- Solid understanding of governmental budget standards and practices
