What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Track program financials, budgets, and funding streams, ensuring alignment with DoD financial planning cycles
- Conduct financial performance reviews to ensure cost efficiency and optimal resource allocation
- Manage and report on financial forecasting and cost estimation
- Utilize defense financial management systems for congressional budget justifications and funding reconciliation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial strategy and execution
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience in financial management
- Demonstrated experience in DoD budget execution, cost estimation, and financial reporting
- Proficient in the Planning, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills
- Experience with defense financial management systems and funding reconciliation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, KM Certification, Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), or CPA
- Proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish
- Experience with government IT programs and environments
