What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide financial management and oversight for the Education in the Unorganized Territory (EUT), ensuring compliance with funding regulations
- Prepare budget initiatives, work programs, financial orders, and reports, while overseeing contracting and accounts payable processes
- Serve as a liaison between EUT schools and the central office on budgetary and financial matters
- Conduct complex financial analyses and modeling to inform decision-making and planning
- Advise management on fiscal matters affecting agency operations and staffing
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Public or Business Administration or a closely related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in business management, accounting, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, accounting practices, and federal funding regulations
- Proven ability to prepare budgets and execute work programs effectively
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Business management experience that includes budget, finance, supervisory, and grant management skills
- Familiarity with GAAP/GASB standards for governmental organizations
- Advanced skills in financial forecasting and cost analysis
