What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage monthly financial close, ensuring accuracy in financial statements and journal entries
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and laws; develop efficient processes and internal controls
- Prepare and approve journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare audit schedules and financial statements in compliance with funding agreement requirements
- Serve as a key contact for ministry units and external clients, resolving financial issues and maintaining communication
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Enrollment in CPA program PEP
- Three to five years of relevant experience in AP/AR/GL
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- High proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions for managing large data sets
- Ability to assist and train individuals with limited financial backgrounds
- Commitment to ethical standards and understanding of the organization's mission and values
