What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in obtaining certification from insurance companies for all office visits
- Verify insurance information and register cases in the tracking system
- Evaluate patient assets and liabilities to determine ability to pay
- Review alternatives to admission and guide patients in applying for financial assistance
- Perform tasks to support pre-certifications from insurance companies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic knowledge of insurance policies, claims, payment, and coverage regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use critical thinking
- Proficient in data entry with attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in customer service within a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with financial assistance programs and processes
- Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients
