What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the reduction of Accounts Receivables for the Patient Financial Services department
- Assist patients directly with their billing inquiries and financial aspects of their care
- Facilitate account resolution by correcting billing errors and handling denials
- Timely identify and resolve issues that may delay payment or account resolution
- Collaborate with peers and revenue cycle departments to improve collections
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma
- 1-2 years of experience in healthcare insurance billing or account follow-up
- Strong knowledge of Patient Accounting systems
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience with Medicaid and Charity Care
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
