      Job Summary

      Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Analyst supports financial planning and analysis activities with a specialized focus on expense and strategic investment analytics. This role partners closely with business leaders to provide deep insights into expense implications, business investment outcomes, and financial performance. The analyst develops financial models, forecasts, and benchmarks to inform decision-making and drive sustainable growth and profitability

      Job Responsibilities
      • Expense Impact Analysis | Deepen reporting and analysis to help leaders understand how expense trends affect business results and profitability.
      • Segment Allocation Transparency | Improve transparency and governance in segment-level allocations, including IT portfolio investments, to support strategic planning and accountability.
      • Financial Modeling & Forecasting | Design, build, and maintain complex financial models aligned with business strategy to project future performance and support budgeting and forecasting.
      • Benchmarking & Efficiency Metrics | Conduct internal and external benchmark analysis and develop metrics such as expense per policy to guide planning and operational efficiency.
      • Strategic Cost/Benefit Analysis | Collaborate with business partners to evaluate the financial return of strategic initiatives and articulate desired outcomes to support benefit realization.
      • GAAP Accounting Insights | Provide insights to segment leaders on the implications of GAAP accounting standards and changes, supporting informed financial decisions.
      • Cross-Functional Collaboration | Work closely with departments such as Corporate Finance, Sales, Underwriting, Product and Operations to gather financial data and ensure integrated planning and analysis.
      • Continuous Improvement & Governance | Identify and support initiatives to improve, automate, and mature financial practices, policies, and methodologies across the financial management discipline.
      • Performance Targeting | Engage in the identification and calculation of key financial and operational targets required for achieving desired business outcomes.


      Job Qualifications
      • 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or a related field.
      • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science, Business, or a related field and/or commensurate experience.


      Location

      Hybrid- defined as working three or more days per week in the office if the employee's residence is within 50 miles of Westfield Center, OH/Chicago, IL; OR Remote-if the employee resides more than 50 miles from Westfield Center, OH/Chicago, IL.
