The Opportunity: Are you an energetic Firefighter/Advanced Care Paramedic who enjoys working in a challenging environment providing fire, medical and technical rescue response? As a member of Canadian Natural’s Emergency Services at Horizon Oil Sands you will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our oil sands site through emergency response, community education and continuous training. Key Accountabilities: - Provide BLS/ALS medical response - Ensure effective emergency response by providing professional application of skills and techniques at the emergency scene - Assist in maintaining and inspecting fire apparatus and equipment - Perform fire code inspections of site facility infrastructure and site pre-fire planning - Demonstrate leadership and training attributes to emergency response team members - Provide input into the effectiveness of the emergency response team Other Details: - Job location: Fort McMurray, Alberta - Horizon Oil Sands site - Shift schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off – Wednesday to Tuesday, 12 hours per shift - Eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Relocation Regular Policy - Company sponsored Fly-In/Fly-Out from Calgary or Edmonton - Competitive salary, stock options, stock savings plan and benefits - This is a safety sensitive position Skills & Qualifications: - Must have previous experience as an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) - Must be registered with the Alberta College of Paramedics - NFPA 1001 Level II Firefighter Certification preferred - Valid Class 2/3 and 4 with Q endorsement driver’s license - Minimum standard of physical fitness is required for this role Why Canadian Natural?
