What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Implement best practice fitness programming tailored to community fitness members
- Assist licensed therapists with patient care procedures and follow treatment protocols
- Monitor and maintain department equipment to ensure proper working order
- Manage patient check-ins and schedule follow-up visits
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones and gathering patient paperwork
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in fitness, exercise science, exercise physiology, athletic training, or kinesiology
- Minimum of 1 year of community fitness center experience as a personal trainer or exercise class instructor
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Ability to perform daily/weekly cleaning of clinical areas
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to maintain positive relationships with co-workers and stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 5-7 years of community fitness center experience as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, or exercise class instructor
- Certifications such as CSCS, Personal Trainer Certification, and Certified Pool Operator
- Experience with fitness program development and implementation based on exercise science principles
