What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Implement best practice fitness programming for community fitness members based on their needs
- Assist licensed therapists with patient care procedures and support during treatment
- Guide patients in performing exercises as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Manage patient check-ins and schedule follow-up visits
- Monitor and maintain department equipment and clinical areas
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in fitness, exercise science, exercise physiology, athletic training, or kinesiology
- Minimum of 1 year of community fitness center experience as a personal trainer or exercise class instructor
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive relationships with co-workers and stakeholders
- Experience in fitness program development and implementation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 5-7 years of experience in community fitness centers as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, or exercise class instructor
- Certifications such as CSCS, Personal Trainer Certification, or Certified Pool Operator
- Strong skills in fitness management reporting and best practice exercise science principles
