Job Description

- The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly and machining of all parts in accordance with the technical documentation (work instructions, drawings, task sequencing) and self-checking at the various stages of assembly.
- Using CNC Lathe to machine the rotor bars.
- Lamination stacking and hot product shrinking.
- Preparation (alignment / cleaning) and quenching.
- Machine brazing.
- Machine Balancing after rotor assembly.
- Repairing non-conformities (geometry, visual aspect in relation with the criteria) by following the prescribed repair specification.
- Perform self-assessment quality checks.
- Adhering to continuous improvement processes and teamwork.
- Adhere to and promote strict compliance with EHS rules, PPE, local regulation and AZDP.
- Ensure that the workstation is tidy with regular monitoring and cleaning of the equipment (5S).
- Detecting and anticipating simple manufacturing anomalies, as well as more complex defects.
- Grade 12 and or minimum N3 Certificate.
- Qualified Red Seal - Trade Tested Fitter and Turner is a must with 3 years’ experience in the relevant field.
- Proven experience working as a Turner (CNC lathe machining would be an advantage).
- Knowledge of fitting techniques, tools, principles and equipment selection.
- Conduct assembly operations according to detailed work instructions
- Ability to use the crane for assembly operations and move the product with pallet trucks.
- Ability to operate hand power tools, slings, drilling machines, grinders and other hand tools related to the job requirement.
- Read, interpret and apply technical documents (work instructions, safety instructions, etc.).
- Versatility and the ability to assimilate different special and critical processes (torque tightening / brazing, balancing).
- Use of various inspection tools / verniers / dial indicators.
- Jig / fixture maintenance.
- Should be technically minded and practical.
