      Responsibilities

      Mission Linen has an immediate opening for an experienced Fleet Mechanic at our facility. The Fleet Mechanic must perform preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment, including gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and air brakes.

      • Base Salary: $35 - $38 an hour. The starting pay is based on education, experience, other qualifications, and location of assignment.
      • Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, with either a Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday schedule.
      • Benefits: Full-time employment with full benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), a retirement savings program, paid time off (sick, holiday, vacation) and MORE. We offer hourly pay with overtime when available, no flat rate here!

      Qualifications

      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Diagnose, evaluate, and repair all systems on commercial vehicles up to full engine, transmission, and driveline replacements.
      • Ensure all vehicles meet operational and safety standards.
      • Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
      • Experience in electrical and computer-controlled vehicle systems is preferred.
      • Operate all tools and mechanisms associated with automotive repair.
      • Evaluates and recommends alternative methods for accomplishing vehicle preventive maintenance to ensure the most effective and efficient return on investment.
      • Follows an effective preventive maintenance program for company vehicles.
      • Diesel and Ford product experience is helpful but not necessary

      Qualified candidates will have a strong work ethic and an ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented shop setting. Prior auto shop experience or trade school is a preferred. The position requires a clean DMV.
