What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Access pre-scanned images of records related to FOIA/PA requests
- Validate requestor entitlement, redact information, and prepare appropriate responses for government approvals
- Review subject/requester information for accuracy and verify responsive records
- Maintain tracking systems for completion of work assignments and ensure compliance with FOIA regulations
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma and at least 1 year of college or equivalent experience in a legal environment
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience with records management or document control
- Ability to read, write, and understand English fluently and type proficiently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Successfully pass a Federal background check and drug screen
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 6 months of on-the-job experience using a computer terminal
- Experience related to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain tracking systems for work assignments
- Experience troubleshooting minor computer issues
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
