Foundation Seed Field Production Manager

Purpose:

Drive RC Foundation Seed Production for Corn & Rice. Philippines to ensure high quality parent seeds production in quantities sufficient to meet the pipeline and commercial hybrid seed production.

YOUR TASK and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for establishing RC corn & rice Precommercial farms & field production sites
• Manage Gen1 and Gen2 field production Operations and accountable for consistent execution to ensure quality and reliability
• Plan and coordinate with the regional and country PRCM teams for timely availability of the parent Seed for CS production in PH
• Manages Grower, stakeholder relations to ensure timely and effective communication and alignment on production deliverables
• Ensures safe and timely delivery of crop to enable pipeline and commercial production needs while meeting field production metrics
• Ensures all operations are compliant to internal Bayer requirements and local regulations
• Responsible for annual OPEx & Capex plans and lead improvement solutions for optimization of COGS
• Manage foundation inventory, controls cost, ensure all financial KPI’s are met or exceeded
• Adherence, implementation of company Quality and HSE standards to meet targets and audit requirements.
• Accountable for ensuring RC Precommercial field production operations and SOPs meets HSE and Quality standards at all times
• Manage Parent seed post harvest activities at plant like drying, shelling , processing & warehouse
• Liaise with seed regulatory and safety verticals - Quality, Regulatory & Stewardship team, etc.
• Coordinating with regional team for digitalization example Velocity implementation
• Leading various initiatives to support Bayer vision of 2025 for APAC region
• As a SME leading development of critical procedures / documents for PRCM activities

WHO YOU ARE:

• University degree (Masters or equivalent)
• 5-6 years experience in Seed Production/Manufacturing
• Cross-functional collaboration & communication
• Ability to take initiative and responsibility
• Analytical and strategic thinking
