What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop foundational machine learning capabilities for diverse applications
- Create machine learning techniques to accelerate optimization problems
- Conduct research to impact semiconductor design and manufacturing
- Publish results in top-tier conferences and journals
- Build open-source tools and facilitate technology transfers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- PhD with 1+ years of research experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a STEM-related field
- 2+ years of experience and solid background in modern machine learning architectures, such as Transformers and Graph Neural Networks
- 2+ years of experience and strong coding skills in Python and C++
- 2+ years of experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with deep learning on graphs, including general and circuit graphs, molecular graphs, or trees
- Familiarity with classical search and optimization techniques such as Genetic Algorithms and Monte-Carlo Tree Search
- Knowledge of EDA tools, either commercial or open-source
- Publications in top-tier venues in AI for chip design
