Job Description

- Attend pre-shift meetings.
- Maintain uniform appearance according to established guidelines.
- Adhere to policies and procedures and Health Department regulations.
- Greet guests in a friendly and timely manner to take order for food and beverage items.
- Use suggestive selling techniques.
- Know all menu items.
- Know locations of all Golden Nugget outlets and services available to the guests.
- Responsible for obtaining, reconciling and returning cash bank at the beginning and end of shift.
- Accurately input food and beverage orders into the Aloha system. Follow cash handling procedures and cash register policies.
- Rotate and date all product
- Thank guests, present checks and settle checks according to established procedures.
- Always invite guests back to the outlet.
- Relay all guest compliments and complaints to the Manager on duty.
- Inform Bus Person of needed supplies.
- Keep work area stocked with needed supplies, keep work area neat, clean and organized.
- Fill pastry display as needed.
- Prepare all coffee products as needed.
- Clean coffee and tea machines daily and as needed.
- Assist Bus Person with cleaning tables, floors and emptying trash as needed.
- Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing all products.
- Complete assigned side work.
- Assist with maintaining a neat, clean and safe working environment.
- Turnover/takeover station according to established procedures.
- Must have good people skills and a well-groomed appearance.
- Must read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must have working knowledge of point of sales systems.
- Must be able to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
- High School or GED or related degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year prior Barista experience (Starbucks preferred)
- Minimum age requirement is 21
