What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and analyze merchant applications to make confident decisions and recommendations
- Provide guidance and respond to daily inquiries from peers and ISO partners
- Prepare key points for presentations to management regarding customers with heightened risk
- Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails of merchant assessments and reports
- Evaluate existing relationships and identify unusual activity in a timely manner
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable professional experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in merchant services, preferably in fraud and/or risk operations
- At least 1 year of experience in Merchant Underwriting
- At least 1 year of experience in Merchant Acquiring
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proficiency in independently underwriting merchant applications within approval authority
- Ability to initiate change through consensus building, negotiation, and conflict resolution
