What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Act as the facility receptionist, answering incoming referral calls and completing patient intakes
- Verify and obtain eligibility and benefits for all primary and secondary insurances
- Maintain patient confidentiality while processing demographic, financial, and clinical data
- Assist with various projects and serve as a subject matter expert for front office operations
- Document patient cancellations and “no shows” while maintaining effective communication with peers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must reside in PST or MST time zone
- High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years of related front office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Intermediate computer skills and experience with electronic medical office systems
- Basic knowledge of healthcare billing processes preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of health insurance plans, deductibles, and coinsurance
- Experience in a healthcare facility setting
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to maintain effective lines of communication with healthcare providers
- Previous mentoring or training experience
