- Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Manager, is responsible for the day-to-day functioning of Therapy Services. Including, but not limited to:
- Operation of the outpatient or inpatient department office.
- Interaction and integration of operations between all clinics and hospital departments.
- Disseminating communication between all team members.
- Assisting in the smooth and efficient running of the Therapy Services department.
- Supports all aspects of daily clinic operations for the assigned clinic, ensuring the delivery of the highest levels of clinical quality and customer service to clinic patients in the most cost-effective way.
- Effectively utilizes appropriate resources to ensure sensitive, personal care to individuals who require therapy services.
- Facilitates patient re-schedules as appropriate.
- Edits templates/ overrides appointment lengths/ approves overbooking.
- Responsible for template builds in EMR as directed by Manager.
- Oversees staff schedules to enhance customer service and promote therapist productivity working closely with therapy leads to optimize efficiency.
- Assist manager forecasting clinical staffing needs
- Assist with chart preparation and documentation compliance.
- Assist with answering phones, checking voicemails, and communicating pertinent messages to the appropriate team member.
- Assist with scheduling Retail and Specialty services.
- Assists with training of new staff and ongoing development of training information.
- Assist with Revenue Cycle Department for accuracy and compliance.
- Manages billing work queues.
- Completes daily auditing as requested by Manager.
- Oversees response for denials and requests for additional documentation/ billing office inquiries etc.
- Serves as liaison for communication between other departments of TFHD/IVCH.
- Maintains/oversees inventory of office supplies.
- Requests records, protocols, operation/procedure reports as requested.
- Coordinates regular Quality Assurance (QA) charts.
- Completes regular Medicare audits for PT/ ST/ OT.
- Assists and supports Patient Access and Access Center staff, as needed.
- Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
- Complies with System policies and procedures.
- Completes departmental reporting as requested.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
- Within 3 months of hire into job
- Skilled in use of technology
- A willingness to be trained on-the-job in duties not previously learned is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (excel, word, power-point)
Bargaining Unit: Non Represented - Supervisor
Rate of Pay: $32.82/hour + DOE
Summary
