What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Complete work orders as directed by the Maintenance Director, including tasks such as changing light bulbs, AC filters, and minor plumbing
- Maintain all areas of the community, including grounds, parking areas, and community facilities
- Assist with the upkeep of service equipment and tools
- Conduct daily inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment for safety and maintenance needs
- Promote safety by identifying and resolving potential hazards in the community
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 6 months of work experience in residential maintenance
- Experience in sheet rock work, carpentry, plumbing, and general building maintenance
- Strong understanding of building and fire safety protocols
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Physical capability to lift between 50 and 100 lbs and perform moderate to heavy exertion regularly
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a senior living or healthcare environment
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices
- Additional certifications related to maintenance or safety
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with residents
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and after hours
