Join Amazon EU Retail's Other Hardlines (OHL) Product Family in any one of our EU locations and impact our supply chain across Europe. As a Senior Strategic Supply Chain Manager you will build an in depth understanding of Amazon's commercial frameworks, operational processes and programs. Underpinned by this, you will work with our largest vendors to drive end to end supply chain collaboration and improve the strategic operations set up. Your goal will be to maximize product availability for our customers while reducing our overall cost, generating free cash flow and enabling optimal service.
This position is limited to 12 months. It can be based in any Amazon EU Retail location: London, Manchester, Paris, Milan, Munich, Luxembourg.
Key job responsibilities
You will be successfully designing, agreeing and implementing long term Supply Chain roadmaps with Category and strategic vendors as part of Joint Business Planning with clear year by year goals. This will involve
• Pitching, negotiating, onboarding and successfully scaling Supply Chain Programs – buying and sourcing programs, inbound simplification and consolidation, External Fulfillment
• Improving availability by deep diving into inputs of ordering, defining action plans and solutions both internally and with vendors
• Driving scalable improvements in inbound optimization operations
• Partnering with Business (Category) and central teams to drive and enable high priority key initiatives to deliver growth, customer & vendor experience and profitability
The Strategic Supply Chain Manager will also be responsible to drive Product Family wide change by being Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a particular pillar and ensure process improvements, including identifying defects, reducing waste, and improving supply chain effectiveness.
This role enables you to "hit the ground running" and make transformational impact by establishing relationships with C-Level decision makers (Commercial & Supply Chain) of Strategic Vendors.• Masters degree in Business or a Supply Chain discipline, or similar degree with analytical focus
• Multiple years of experience in supply chain negotiations, inventory planning, operations, retail, consulting and/or finance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) and experience in negotiating
• Very good Excel skillsThe ideal candidate is able to lead and influence both internal and external teams in an ambiguous environment, while maintaining a customer-centric philosophy. They must be highly organized, self-starting, highly analytical and thrive in a high energy environment – ideally with experience in supply chain and operations.
