This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

- Analyze and present data to support decision making, creates and implements negotiation strategies that could impact beyond individual responsibilities
- Assist with and/or leads fuel manual administration, fuel training program administration, and fuel supplier performance management
- Assists in monitoring and measuring fuel service provider performance and in the resolution of problems; takes appropriate corrective action to ensure the safe and timely fueling of Southwest Airlines Aircraft

- Develop and drive strategy to effectively manage on and off airport storage facilities, maintenance and operations (M&O) and into- plane service providers
- Develop presentations and reporting for Team, Leadership, and other Stakeholders
- Lead the Company's coordination and efforts with industry trade organization on regulatory matters affecting U.S. fuel operations
- Serve in a Leadership role and as subject matter expert in the industry by participating in airline fuel consortia as a representative of Southwest Airlines
- Support the development of business cases to help prioritize opportunities and champion improvement projects
- Work to minimize negative impact of fuel disruptions by coordinating across FSCM and externally to achieve resolution
- Ensures timely processing and payment of fuel service invoices
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data
- Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits
- Skilled in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Skilled in bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences
- Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem
- Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Advanced-level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
- Into-plane fuel services, fuel storage maintenance and operations, fuel accounting, fuel purchasing, or fuel quality assurance/control
- General accounting principles and SOX requirements
- Analytical skills

- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information
- Ability to travel 35-40%

Competitive market salary from $112,950 per year to $125,500 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
