What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Responsible for daily operations including maintaining logs of fuel yard, boilers, and turbine generator
- Perform housekeeping duties and basic preventative maintenance of power plant equipment
- Drive heavy equipment, including bobcat, forklift, front-end loader, and Lull
- Operate controls of a Stacker – Reclaimer and power plant equipment via DCS
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations in assigned areas
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with operations and troubleshooting of industrial equipment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an entry badge to the Savannah River Site
- Valid Driver's License issued by the state of residence and in good standing
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and transport equipment and tools in excess of 300 lbs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Power plant experience
- Ability to successfully complete position training and testing requirements
- Basic computer skills, including e-mail and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Availability for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs
- Ability to work rotating shifts on days, nights, weekends, and holidays
