What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis program within the School of Education
- Develop and teach online courses in the special education credential program and the Master of Arts in Special Education (MASE) program
- Foster relationships with school and district personnel for course-related clinical experiences
- Maintain professional conduct and establish trust and communication with candidates and faculty colleagues
- Participate in service to the education community internally and externally
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Doctorate or master's degree in special education or an education-related field
- Current Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or BCBA-D in good standing with the BACB
- Minimum three years of credentialed special education teaching experience
- Special Education teaching credential (or equivalent) and commitment to apply for a California teaching credential within the first year
- Demonstrated success teaching in an online asynchronous learning environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- A doctorate in special education
- A California Mild/Moderate Support Needs or Extensive Support Needs Education Specialist credential (or equivalent)
- Experience providing ABA services in both school and private agency environments
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering engaging online university courses
- Membership or involvement in ABA, Special Education, and Behavioral organizations at various levels
