  QUALIFICATIONS:
  
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be 18 or older to use sharp knives, use ladders, scaffolds or their substitutes, substitutes above 6 feet in height, and to operate or assist in operating power-driven machinery or equipment.
  • No experience required. Hands on experience as a grocery store Produce Clerk is a plus.
  • CA Food Handling license is required. One may be acquired within the first month of the employment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without aid
  • Exposure to potential hazards exists with respect to equipment and work aides necessary to perform job duties. Hands are in frequent contact with water and various fruits and vegetables while performing job duties.

  • Able to operate equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.
  • English: Must have the ability to speak, read and understand English. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence.
  • Mathematical skill: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure such as whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, etc.
  • Reasoning Ability: Able to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions consisting in written, oral, schedule and/or diagram form.
