  Position Summary/Job Duties:	Seeking a mature, responsible, and engaging nanny to care for our two children – a 12 year old boy and a 10 year old girl. Family Information We are a professional working couple with “typical” office jobs (8-5 pm M-F) in Madison. Our kids are well-behaved, respectful, neat, and organized. They thrive on routines and are relatively independent for their age. Sibling disputes are rarely significant and can often be resolved with simple redirection. Our son enjoys sports such as lacrosse, ice hockey, tubing & water skiing. He also plays a variety of video games. Our daughter loves swimming, theater, arts and crafts. Our well-behaved dog is a 6 year old mix who is reluctantly shy and uncertain about new faces at first but will warm up to you. Her favorite thing to do is lay outside and chew on a bone or go for walks. Setting and Environment We live in a newer home kept tidy and organized situated in Monona, WI (Madison suburb) on the south east lakefront of Lake Monona. The neighborhood and surrounding area make it easy to care for our kids (parks, beaches, community pool in summer, ice-cream stores, activities, entertainment, etc.) all within walking or a short driving distance. The plethora of nearby friends/playmates make facilitating ad-hoc or scheduled playdates easy; “a win” for the kids and our previous nannies alike. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Create an active routine of play, relaxation, and responsibilities that promots social, physcial, and emotional development Oversee light academic enrichment such as reading, worksheets, or games Actively play and engage with the kids (inside and outside) in the yard, playground, bike rides, etc. Preparing meals and snacks for the children Transport the kids to & from local activities or events (i.e. a friend’s house, community pool, day camp, park) Overseeing mid-week chores such as kids' laundry, ,running the dishwasher, dog walks, etc. Occasional evening meal start/prep (i.e. preheat oven, thaw food, boil water, etc.)
  Qualifications:	Skills, Qualifications, and Attributes Non-smoker Reliable and safe transportation Driver’s License Previous experience as a Nanny or Babysitter References Clean background check Comfortable with a dog Comfortable being active such as fitness or sports Comfortable with lake/pool activities and environment
  Physical Demands	Active play; enough energy to keep up with 10 and 12 year olds
