      Job Title: Civil Engineer

      Job Description

      We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to support the civil design of utility greenfield substation projects from initial site selection through final construction documentation. The ideal candidate will perform site layout, grading design, stormwater management, erosion control, and access road design, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

      Responsibilities

      • Perform site layout, grading design, stormwater management, erosion control, and access road design.
      • Prepare and review plans, specifications, and engineering reports in compliance with industry standards.
      • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including electrical, structural, and environmental engineers.
      • Coordinate with permitting agencies, utility companies, and project stakeholders as needed.
      • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for creating construction-level drawings, topographic surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, and grading plans.
      • Participate in site evaluations, including desktop assessments and occasional field visits.
      • Maintain project schedules and documentation from initiation to close-out.

      Essential Skills

      • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
      • Strong understanding of grading, stormwater management, and erosion control principles.
      • Experience managing projects through all phases: planning, design, permitting, and construction support.
      • Knowledge of applicable civil codes, standards, and permitting processes.
      • Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
      • 2–3 years of direct experience with civil site design for greenfield utility substations.
      • EIT certification preferred; PE license a plus.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
