UNC-Chapel Hill's Morehead Planetarium & Science Center is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to coordinate the FUTURES program. FUTURES (Featuring Underrepresented Talent in Urban and Rural Engagement with Science) is a grant-funded STEM outreach program that empowers community college faculty, staff, students, and alumni to connect with their local community through sharing their personal stories. This position will recruit and train community college partners while facilitating positive interactions between the community college participants and the public through high quality training and placement in Morehead's array of statewide programs and ongoing support. This position will be the project coordinator, creating a cadre of Science Storytellers to interact with the public at science events across the state to build better outcomes. This person will report to the Community Engagement Manager. Some statewide travel is required.
