What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Create and implement sales strategies and tactics for the territory
- Plan and attend customer meetings, efficiently managing all stages of the sales cycle
- Increase sales by understanding customer needs and delivering tailored sales presentations
- Cultivate and maintain extensive product knowledge and provide detailed sales reports
- Collaborate with sales colleagues and other departments to offer market feedback and intelligence
What is Required (Qualifications):
- College degree with significant field sales experience, consistently meeting sales targets
- Customer-centric attitude with a consultative approach to selling
- Excellent communication skills to manage relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with a self-motivated approach
- Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time within the territory and for company meetings
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Field sales experience within the academic library market
- Experience negotiating large contracts
- Good understanding of the academic environment
