Job Description

- Take on the persona and costume of a Monopoly Token and facilitate the game as this character.[GU1] [CO2]
- Learn the rules of the board, guide the guests around the game, and utilize a specialized app on a tablet (training provided) to advance the game. It is helpful if you are comfortable dealing with numbers and basic math related to amounts of money as part of the gameplay; calculations, however, are managed by the app.[GU3] [CO4]
- Have good improvisation and interaction skills with the ability to respond to live situations and think on your feet.
- Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for the game.
- Ensure guests have a safe and positive experience[GU5] [CO6] by engaging with them, assisting as necessary, and enforcing the rules and policies of the game.
- Maintain brand guidelines and ensure the experience is appropriate for audiences of all ages.
- Understand basic guidelines of emergency response. Respond effectively during an emergency, following the Crisis Communications Plan and directions from the Operations Manager/Assistant Operations Manager, Security and first response personnel.
- Anticipate and address guests’ needs. Resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating as required.
- Demonstrated commitment to engage people of various ages, backgrounds and abilities in past work.
- Ability to exude high energy and enthusiasm for an extended period of time to motivate a crowd with relevant experience performing, improvising, captaining teams, public speaking, facilitating gameplay, teaching, and/or leading groups/public tours preferred.
- Ability to interact and communicate professionally, courteously and effectively with a wide range of visitors.
- Ability to give clear and concise instructions to a group.
- Professionalism, poise under pressure, and a positive attitude towards the organization and co-workers.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adhere to compliance and security and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team.
- CPR certified and first responder skills preferred.
- Ability to speak comfortably in front of groups of people.
- Previous experience with Off-Center is preferred.

About MONOPOLY LIFESIZED
Monopoly Lifesized is exactly what it sounds like – a life-sized version of the world’s favorite board game.
Monopoly Lifesized is a high-energy interactive experience that uses a range of theatrical effects including loud music and sounds, flashing lights, timed-rounds, group participation. and small or confined spaces. Each 60-minute game of Monopoly Lifesized is played on a 50’x50’ board. Each board can host up to 24 people divided into four teams that play against each other. DCPA Off-Center at Broadway Park will host four boards with individual games starting every 15 minutes. Monopoly Lifesized will run for the general public Tuesday to Sunday from October 22nd, 2024 through April 13th, 2025 with test audiences from October 18-20th, 2024.
Work Conditions
Monopoly Lifesized: Travel Edition will operate out of the DCPA Off-Center at Broadway Park building located at 407 S. Broadway, Denver, CO 80209. Experience Attendants will be 100% customer facing, interacting with a steady stream of guests throughout each shift.Job Purpose
The game is led by two Game Hosts representing the famous Monopoly Tokens (Scottie Dog, Boot, Racing Car, etc.) who explain the rules, facilitate the game play, keep score, and help the teams along the way. When a team lands on a property, they get to enter the full-sized room connected to the property and participate in a challenge — only if they succeed will they acquire that property. The challenges are themed to connect to each property and contain a mix of physical and mental puzzles and games that test players’ skills and creative thinking.
Duties and Responsibilities
The hosts initiate the gameplay and guide the public in small teams around the lifesized Monopoly board as they take on challenges to win properties, earn money and escape jail. They instruct the players and manage the digital game, while providing a fun and entertaining experience.Qualifications

$25.00 per hour, up to 28 hours per week temporary positions from October 8, 2024 – April 13, 2025.
