      POSITION SUMMARY:

      Targa Resources has an opening for a Gas Pipelines Business Development Manager in our Downtown Houston Office.

      JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Develop infrastructure in lock-step with long-term strategic plan
      • Commercialize & manage Targa-owned, operated, or JV residue pipeline infrastructure:
        • Support Director in JV governance meetings and oversight for operational & commercial updates; development projects and board materials
        • Assist Management in representing company’s ownership interest
        • Secure internal approval of developments; operating budgets; capital programs
        • Keep Targa in good standing for development of follow-on opportunities
      • Originate and manage Targa’s FTS capacity on long-haul pipeline(s) to markets
        • Manage asset and services origination to Targa customers, Producers, LNG facilities and demand centers
      • Assist Gas Pipeline’s “Intra-Basin” and “Out-of-Basin” overall strategy development
        • Optimizing Targa’s equity gas infrastructure strategy
        • Secure & manage receipt point development as well as physical outlets
        • Develop and make presentations and interact with senior management
      • Broad commercialization efforts including but not limited to
        • Supporting the development of long-haul transportation assets, services & combined sales proposals to strategic markets/customers
        • Pursue in-basin customers that require infrastructure build-out to connect into Targa owned systems
      • General responsibilities
        • Expand existing commercial capabilities in support of new assets and strategies
        • Project development from conception through execution (coordinate with engineering, operations, finance, legal & corporate development)
        • Negotiate commercial agreements across infrastructure platforms
        • Negotiate facility interconnect agreements with third-parties
        • Develop & present internal presentations for commercial proposals & strategies
        • Provide routine updates to management regarding projects/JV/financials
        • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of markets, commodities, projects & innovations
        • Assist in the due diligence for strategic acquisitions/M&A with Corporate Development
      • Other duties as assigned

      MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or another equivalent field
      • 10 Years of directly related experience in natural gas G&P, pipelines or trading
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • High level of attention to detail
      • Self-starter with ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
      • Willing to travel
      • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
      • Regular and reliable attendance
