What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plan, recommend, reserve, and execute the investigation and settlement of large commercial insurance property claims
- Achieve fair, equitable, and timely claim dispositions while assessing indemnity and expense exposure
- Report to a Property Major Case Manager and collaborate with team members and business partners
- Mentor Associate General Adjusters and Property Damage Adjusters
- Utilize cost estimation tools, preferably Xactimate, and demonstrate computer competencies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a full file Claim Adjuster for complex property losses (General Adjuster) or 3 years for moderately severe property claims (Associate General Adjuster)
- Strong functional knowledge of commercial claims and ability to interpret and apply insurance coverage
- College degree or equivalent experience
- Consistent high level of performance and achievement throughout career
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, and knowledge of regional jurisdictional issues
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with cost estimation using Xactimate
- Disciplined time management and organizational skills
- Availability for nationwide catastrophe operations as necessary
