      We are seeking someone who was born for the hospitality industry and with the desire to develop their career with Accor.

      An excellent opportunity as General Manager has become available at The Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel.

      Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel. This picturesque four-star hotel occupies three buildings, two of which are 19th century manor houses bursting with character. Guests can also enjoy three acres of beautiful private gardens.

      The hotel offers three versatile suites boasting true Oxford style. Catering for all types of meetings and events, from small board meetings to large conferences.

      Ideal venue for weddings accommodate wedding guests up to 180 for a civil ceremony, 160 for a wedding breakfast and 250 for an evening reception.

      This newly refurbished hotel takes design inspiration from Oxford-style vintage fashion, with the iconic brogue and collar represented stylishly throughout. Guests can relax in Frank's restaurant and bar, or enjoy al fresco.

      What you will be doing?

      -Responsible for the smooth running of operations.

      -Managing the hotel budget and sales strategy, developing new and creative opportunities to maximize sales and increase revenue.

      -Lead the overall management and strategic direction of the property and support all departments in the achievement of exceptional guest service.

      Skills and Experience:

      You must have 4-5 years hotel General Manager experience and be able to illustrate previous successes in a comparable environment.

      -Previous experience managing owner relationships.

      -Commercially driven, ideally you must have experience within mid-scale hotels with strong focus on Conference & Banqueting.

      -A proven leader who is able to inspire others.

      -Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.

      -A strong focus on customer service and guest expectations.
