      Ed Morse Automotive Group is looking for a high-energy, results-driven General Sales Manager (GSM) to lead the sales department. We’re seeking an experienced automotive leader with a passion for performance, a strong focus on customer satisfaction, and a proven ability to motivate and develop a successful sales team.

      Responsibilities

      • Lead all aspects of the new and pre-owned vehicle sales operations
      • Set and achieve sales targets while maximizing gross profit and front-end performance
      • Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team — including Sales Managers, Finance Managers, and Sales Consultants
      • Develop and implement effective sales processes, word tracks, and customer engagement strategies
      • Monitor sales metrics and performance reports to drive accountability and improvement
      • Partner with the General Manager and other department leaders to support overall dealership goals
      • Ensure top-notch customer satisfaction throughout the sales experience
      • Manage showroom activity and customer flow to ensure efficient operations
      • Work closely with marketing to implement successful lead generation and advertising strategies
      • Stay current on market trends, pricing, and inventory needs

      Qualifications

      • 3–5+ years of automotive sales management experience (preferably in a GSM or similar role)
      • Demonstrated success in leading a high-performing sales team in a dealership environment
      • Strong understanding of sales processes, desking deals, and F&I workflow
      • Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills
      • Proficiency in dealership software (CDK experience a plus) and Microsoft Office
      • A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
      • Stable, progressive career history in the automotive retail industry
      • Must Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
