- Oversee the quality assurance and quality control review of all federal geospatial projects prior to client delivery
- Reviewing QA/QC layers for lidar, imagery, GIS layers, 3DHP, or planimetric datasets, and providing reports and feedback to the production team
- Provide feedback to the production team on observed issues and systematic errors
- Provide training and guidance on data quality standards and best practices to technicians
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies
- Work with program management to continue to refine SAM’s Federal Quality Management Program, including assisting with SAM's Federal Program Quality Management Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Other duties as assigned
- 5+ years of experience in GIS/Remote sensing field
- Experience in quality review processes, such as running and reviewing QA/QC tools, root cause analysis, and documenting lessons learned
- Experience working with common geospatial software such as ESRI ArcGIS Pro or ArcMap, Geocue LP360, Blue Marble Geographics Global Mapper, Bentley Microstation \ Terrasolid suite, and LASTools
- Understanding of industry specifications such as 3DEP Lidar Base Specification (LBS), 3D Hydrography / Elevation Derived Hydrography specifications, and USACE EM 1110-1-1000
- Prefer experience with United States Geological Survey (USGS) 3D Elevation Product (3DEP), 3D Hydrography Program (3DHP), United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) projects
- Excellent communication, listening, writing and verbal, and problem-solving skills
