      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Determine the functional requirements of GIS tasks, analyzing and evaluating technical elements and data sources
      - Provide technical direction and guidance to technicians while performing quality control of data for correctness, completeness, and accuracy
      - Conduct spatial analysis and represent data visually in maps
      - Review program documentation to ensure adherence to standards/requirements and monitor project progress
      - Code, test, and implement software for NOAA Custom Chart and Marine Navigation websites, including bug fixes and upgrades

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's Degree in a related field
      - Minimum of 1 year of experience in Geographic Information Systems
      - Strong analytical skills to evaluate technical elements and data sources
      - Proficient in coding and software implementation
      - Ability to perform quality control and ensure data accuracy

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with marine charting or navigation software development
      - Familiarity with NOAA standards and requirements
      - Knowledge of spatial analysis techniques and tools
      - Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment
      - Strong collaborative skills to work within a team-oriented setting
