What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and maintain geographic information system (GIS) products
- Produce computer-generated cartographic, dashboards, and story map products
- Utilize Esri ArcGIS products effectively
- Document GIS system environment, workflows, and metadata
- Communicate effectively to convey technical and non-technical information
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Working knowledge of geospatial data collection, cartography, and SQL database querying
- Demonstrated ability to use Esri ArcGIS products effectively
- Proficiency in Python and SQL database scripting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Practical experience using ArcGIS applications and extensions
- Experience in image processing and remote sensing
- GIS certification or similar GIS competency
