- Seeking an experienced GIS Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Esri enterprise solutions
- Responsible for designing, planning, and implementing scalable, service-based GIS architectures
- Leads architectural vision while contributing hands-on technical expertise across Esri technologies, including:
- ArcGIS Workflow Manager
- ArcGIS Hub
- ArcGIS Mission
- ArcGIS Indoors / Space Planner
- Defines and implements solutions using ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online
- Translates complex business needs into strategic geospatial solution roadmaps
- Partners closely with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver robust, future-ready solutions aligned with organizational goals
- Implement, configure, and optimize Esri enterprise solutions
- Design and deploy secure, scalable, service-based GIS architectures
- Integrate GIS solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, third-party platforms, and workflows
- Conduct solution testing, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Lead and participate in client discovery sessions to assess needs and recommend best-fit architectures
- Serve as a subject matter expert during RFP/RFI processes
- Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Mentor and guide junior team members by sharing best practices and solution patterns
- Review and validate junior staff work; provide feedback, evaluations, and leadership
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment through strong communication and people skills
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including:
- System diagrams
- Workflows
- Configuration guides
- User documentation
- Perform quality assurance to ensure solution accuracy, reliability, and integrity
- Adhere to established standards, policies, and best practices for deployment and data management
- Stay current with Esri technology updates and emerging capabilities
- Evaluate new technologies for potential solution enhancements
- Contribute to team knowledge sharing, process improvements, and training initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field with geospatial coursework
- Five (5) or more years of hands-on experience implementing Esri solutions, including:
- ArcGIS Enterprise
- ArcGIS Online
- At least one of the following: Workflow Manager, ArcGIS Hub, ArcGIS Mission, or ArcGIS Indoors/Space Planner
- Experience designing and managing service-based architectures and enterprise web services
- Proficiency with geospatial databases, enterprise geodatabases, versioned editing, and data management
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to create clear technical documentation and communicate project progress effectively
- Direct administration or configuration experience with Workflow Manager, ArcGIS Hub, ArcGIS Mission, or ArcGIS Indoors
- Experience contributing to RFP/RFI responses as a technical or solution SME
- Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Online applications, including:
- Experience Builder
- Field Maps
- Survey123
- Dashboards
- Familiarity integrating Esri solutions with enterprise systems (ERP, permitting, asset management, etc.)
- Experience with automation and scripting tools such as Python, REST APIs, webhooks, or FME
- Ability to automate and streamline GIS workflows using Python
- Background in consulting, public sector, or enterprise implementation environments
- Experience delivering training, presentations, or solution enablement sessions
